Self-Healing, Anti-Corrosive Coating System for Structural Steel
Zerokorr is a specialized environment friendly polymers based system which passivates the pin holes, scratches and dents by redox mechanism. This improves durability and reduces maintenance cost of steel structures since this coating is the first pinhole free barrier against different attacks in varied exposure conditions.
Application Procedure
Surface Preparation:
The steel substrate to be coated shall be blast cleaned using copper slag blasting to achieve
SA 2 ½ grade to achieve near white metal. If blasting is not feasible, clean the surface with wire brush followed by application of EPCO Prietch to clean the rust scales
Application:
Mix the Part A and Part B of Zerokorr Primer in prescribed proportion by volume thoroughly for 5-10 minutes in a clean container (free from oily residues) and allow it to remains for 10-15 minutes. Primer coat shall be applied on cleaned surface after surface preparation and within pot life
After air curing as specified one coat of Zerokorr lnterprimer, Zerokorr top coat, Zerokorr finish coat shall be applied keeping lime interlag as specified
The coating shall be applied by brush or airless spray. The intercoat interval shall be 24 hours
CORROSEAL-ZR
Epoxy Zinc Rich Primer
CORROSEAL-ZR is a two pack polyamide cured air drying compound. This primer has excellent resistance to corrosion.
Application Procedure
The adhesion of CORROSEAL-ZR is greatly impaired if the substrate is not prepared thoroughly. Thorough scrubbing with wire brushes, grinding are the means of exposing the sound substrate Removal of rust & mill scales etc. forms essential part of surface preparation
Mix CORROSEAL-ZR Base & Curing agent in prescribed proportion by volume and allow it to remain for 10 minutes
Apply minimum one coat of CORROSEAL-ZR on the cleaned substrate prior to application of CORROSEAL-TE, KARAIKOTE®-TIG, etc
CORROSEAL
CORROSEAL is a two pack polyamide cured air drying epoxy compound. CORROSEAL has excellent resistance to corrosion.
Application Procedure
Mix CORROSEAL Base & Curing agent in prescribed proportion by volume and allow it to remain for 10 minutes before application. Apply 2-3 coats of Corroseal with a time interval of 24 hours between coats
